He is thought to have taken his first lessons from Giorgio Guzzetta. He became a writer in Greek and in Arbëresh, and later became archbishop of the short-lived Christian orthodox archdiocesis of Durazzo〔(The Basilian Monks of Grottaferrata/Piana degli Albanesi in Albania )〕 and vicar apostolic in mission of Himara.
